I went to Tampa, Florida for 3 nights for the American Society for Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing (ASPRS) national conference. My presentation was really well received, which made the trip worth it right there. But even without that, the trip was fun, although it was really short. There was a social at the Florida Aquarium one night, which was cool. The Bugaboo fire was burning in the Okefenokee Swamp while I was there, and the wind shifted and blew all the smoke into Tampa the day I flew out. The smoke was so bad that the hotel lobby was filled with it. At that point, I wasn't too disappointed to leave!
